Beary Tales

Once upon a time, something wicked was woven. A magic formed by darkness and pain, a magic that only the victim of a broken heart could have created.

The death of her one true love has forced Goldalynn to use dark magic. Determined to bring him back she discovers she must acquire the pelts of three bears under the light of the blue moon to fulfill the spell.

The blue moon has risen and the three bears are caged, awaiting the fate of Goldalynn’s deadly spell. But, their cries for help were heard across the magical realms and their Fairy God Uncle has been called. A collision of spells, magic dark and light create a curse, a curse that turns the bears fur into soft skin and their paws into delicate arms and legs… a curse that turns them human.

The girls are now the charges of their Fairy God Uncle until they no longer need him. Not knowing what to call them, he gives them the most important part of their human identities … their names, Katya, Nita, and Leilanni. With his help, these three bears in human bodies journey through the lands of modern fairy tales trying to find a way to break the curse.

This dark fairy tale is not the book your mother read you when tucking you in at night, you won’t find a fairy tale princess who needs a rescue, but there might be a prince or three in this world. Find out as Beary Tales takes you on a magically twisted adventure.

I just got done listening to Beary Tales on Audible and of coarse I own the ebook so I read along because I could. Haha. I haven't listened to many books yet. This is still kinda new to me. I loved the narrators voice. So calm and soothing yet she kept my attention, which is hard to do, and I really enjoyed it.

For a book that has multiple authors that I'm already familiar with, I thought for sure I'd notice when the writing would switch from one author to another but I couldn't! They really brought their amazing story telling talent together seamlessly! The characters were funny and developed into very likable people. The guys that the girls meet along the way added something extra to the fairy tales I grew up knowing. The twist in the story kept me begging for more and I was wondering how it would all fit since I could see it was almost to the end.....well I can't wait to see what's planned for the next book because of coarse they left me with a CLIFFHANGER!! Who am I kidding, I love cliffhangers! Lol. I give this book 5 handbags. I almost forgot about dinner completely and I got little sleep. It was so worth it! I recommend this for adults and maybe mature teens btw.

K.B. is a huge football nut! That's right fellas, she's a DIE-HARD Ravens fan living in Pennsylvania! How's that for ballsy?

She's been writing for as long as she can remember, but two years ago her loving husband─ who believed in her talent, finally gave her a gentle push... actually, according to her, it was really more like a kick... in the lower back-upper thigh region. She claims it hurt. After a few restless nights she decided to allow everyone to meet all of the crazy characters in her head, and here we are.

K.B. has, as her family calls it, a ridiculous addiction to hats, shoes, sunglasses, owls, and coffee. No problems there, right? That's what she said.

Welcome to K.B.-land, it's a lot like Disneyland only without all the endless lines, unnaturally happy people, and it doesn't cost you an arm and a leg to enter! LOL

Chaps and Cauldrons by M.R. Polish

Candy Bishop's baking career is taking off with more orders than she can keep up with. Word spreads fast when her cupcakes make the man of a customer's dreams fall in love with them.

Too bad the darn things didn't work for her. Every day Candy's reminded that time isn't on her side. She hates that the fate of her magic relies on whether or not she finds true love.

Determined to avoid falling in love again - at all costs - Drake Evans rolls into town looking for work. Anything to take his mind off his previous relationship. Coming from a big ranch in Montana, he can wrangle with the best of them, and he heard the Wild Saddle was hiring.

Something in the man's haunting gaze pushes Candy to make it her personal goal to see Drake smile. But will helping him find happiness lose her everything she holds dear before he accepts her heart?

*Chaps and Cauldrons is a Saddles and Spells Novella*

Well if this isn't the sweetest love story I've ever read so far! This is the second book in the series. The first, Spells and Saddles, was wonderfully written so I am NOT disappointed here. I am adoring M.R. Polish more every time I read more of her work. It's clean YA so I can share with my nieces.

Maybe it's because I have such a sweet tooth but Candy is my FAVORITE character so far. I love this girl's spunk. Oh she's not letting a little old thing like a curse stand in her way of happiness. She is pushing on with her life and if love happens to come along, well darn it ... this gal is going for it!

So along comes this dreamy cowboy looking for work on her BFF's ranch. OMG ....Drake has been burned by love and thinks he can swear off women for awhile. He was NOT expecting this redheaded bakery owner to come into his life and teach him something about love and life. You just HAVE  to read all about this cowboy!

Magic works wonders and when you throw love in the mix ... you've got a really good book. I give this book........

Saddles and Spells by M.R. Polish

It was the Curse’s fault. There was no other explanation why Alice Young woke up married to a complete stranger.

After generations of witches in her family succumbing to the Legend of the Lonely Witch, aka the Curse, Alice refuses to surrender her magic to the land. And that’s exactly what will happen if she doesn’t find true love. Stupid cliché hex anyway.

Reese Mahoney doesn't understand what he’s doing in Nevada. He should be on his way back to Wyoming. Back to the land he loves. But one night in Vegas changed everything. Now he’s torn between his dream of owning his own ranch and doing what’s right. Only problem is that his dreams are changing and he’s determined to help the woman he can legally call his wife be happy. Except, it’s a little hard when she turns down every attempt he makes.

MY REVIEW

I love a good romance. I love a good cowboy story too. Mix in a little paranormal witch with a coven of sassy friends and this book by M.R. Polish gave me the best of all of those worlds.

I enjoyed it so much I gave up sleep to finish it. I don't do that for just anything lol.
It's a wonderful, sweet and clean romance that I would recommend to everyone.

It's different from other books I've read by M.R. ... No cliffhanger!!! HAHA ... BUT of coarse M.R. being the awesome writer that she is has left me wanting more! It's great to see that there's plenty more witches with their own magical tale to tell. Can I just say "YAY!!!"

SO, do yourself a literary favor and pick this one up and ENJOY. Let the talented author know what you thought. As always, Happy Reading!

Growing up, her mind was filled with stories, some she shared and others she filed away to write down later in life. It wasn't until 2011 that she decided to publish her stories for everyone to enjoy. Her first award and when writing became more than just an idea was in the 5th grade. She won the scary story contest for the school newspaper. It is one story she still has tucked away for memories. Her teacher told her she could be anything she wanted and that she had a talant for writing, being creative and drawing people into her stories. M.R. took that to heart and continued to write, although mostly in secret until recent years.
Now you can find her enjoying life with her family - wrangling her four kids, setting traps in the house with toys for unsuspecting victims (aka, her husband) and writing down all her crazy and fun stories.
