Author's Korner with Ethan Rice

This week's guest on Author's Korner holds a special place in my heart.
Read the post to see why Ethan Rice is one of my heroes

When Ethan Rice was four years old, he was diagnosed with high-functioning autism. He decided he wanted to tell his first grade class that he had autism on his seventh birthday. His parents asked him many questions about what having autism felt like for him and wrote his answers down as a reference for when he told his class. Those answers are now published so more people can understand what it is like to have autism. While each child on the spectrum has unique challenges and strengths, Ethan's Story:  My Life with Autism is Ethan's own story.

Ethan Rice is eight years old and lives with his family in Michigan.  He is the oldest of five children.  He enjoys math and reading, playing basketball and flag football, and being a Cub Scout.  When he grows up Ethan wants to be a farmer, and he wants the whole world to know that Jesus loves them.

A children's book written by eight year old Ethan Rice who happens to be autistic. In this fully illustrated book Ethan explains what autism means to him and why he feels so very blessed that God made him this way.
Ethan is currently working on a chapter book. I won’t give the whole plot away, but I will say that it is full of magic portals and a wizard that turned at least one guy into a rat. Basically, the book is like the author, a pile of awesome!

Blurb
While rifling through her deceased father’s belongings, a young woman named Taija Ford discovered a maze of files filled with journal entries and old letters that mention various claims of hauntings and alleged demonic possession. The oldest dating back to 1881.
This particular file asserts a girl named Sarah Beth Hawkins was attacked by an unseen entity. In an attempt to piece together her father’s previously secret life, Taija opened her own investigation into these Ghost Diaries. This is Case #1-Sarah Beth Hawkins.

Ghost Diaries is a series of episodic short stories.

Ghost Diaries:
Case #1 Sara Beth Hawkins
4 Penguins
This was an intriguing start to what promises to be an excellent short story series. Willow Cross is a pro at telling a wicked good ghost story and this in no exception. I really found myself feeling for the characters and even though the story wasn't very long it definitely left you wanting more. I am excited to read the next bit of story because I can't wait to see what happens next and how it all ties together in the end. If you are looking to read something that goes bump in the night Ghost Diaries is definitely recommended.
